New Art - Sutro Flowers

While the rain pours down outside, I wanted to share my latest piece; full of Sunflowers, Poppies and Tulips. Sutro Flowers is my take on one of San Francisco's lesser celebrated icons. Standing 977 ft. tall, Sutro Tower is a three pronged TV and radio antenna tower rising from a hill between Twin Peaks and Mount Sutro.

Of course while my work could be considered representational I do tend to take liberties. :) And the exchange of tower and flower was too tempting to pass up. You may recognize some of the flowers from my earlier pieces; Here Comes the SunEden Before Apple and Poppy Love.

Crooked Street 2012 Malbec

A popular theory suggests that malbec grapes were originally planted throughout France by an adventurous Hungarian peasant. Given the Hungarian blood running through my veins, I am proud to present the 2013 Crooked Street Malbec, produced locally in the Napa Valley by the Hendry Ranch. Although most malbec finds its way into red wine blends, this bottle was produced from the single varietal alone, with nothing to distract you from appreciating what this famous grape has to offer. I hope you enjoy its dark violet color, light-bodied mouth feel, and soft tannin finish. So, as the Hungarians say when they raise their glasses... Egészségére!

ArtSpan Art Auction - SOLD!

This year's ArtSpan juried benefit art auction was a huge success, both for the organization and for many of my fellow artists.  It was wonderful to see so many people in attendance and to see how active the bidding was for the donated and juried artwork. An amazing evening, and happy to share that my piece, "If the Shoe Fits" also found a new home.

New Work! Baseball by the Bay

Over the years many people have asked me, "When are you doing AT&T Park?" "When will you celebrate the SF Giants and their baseball dynasty?"  Well, I'm happy to say the time is now... After three months of work, I'm happy to say I've completed my latest piece, entitled "Baseball by the Bay". The composition celebrates the city of San Francisco, the SF Giants and the amazing people that make baseball in San Francisco so special. There is more detail in this piece than in much of my other work. And at the same time, it's not necessarily meant to be a 100% accurate representation of AT&T Park. It's far more about the spirit of the game, played by the San Francisco Bay, of those gathered on the field or in the stands or on their kayaks in McCovey Cove. Baseball by the Bay is available as a signed and numbered limited edition on both fine art paper and canvas. You can purchase this piece via this website, and I offer free shipping in the U.S.

Happy Holidays!

Hi, everyone. I hope this message finds you well as we enter the final month of the year. It's been an amazing year on all fronts... Of course part of the holiday season is picking that perfect gift for those your love.

My modest proposal to you this year is that you consider giving the gift of art. Even if that gift happens to be for yourself. :) You can view all my current artwork here, and this year I'm also offering the ability to buy virtual gift cards so that your family and friends can pick their favorite piece.

I'd also be happy to speak with you by phone and give you a guided tour of my site and answer any of your questions in real time, so feel free to contact me directly at 415 717 9209.

Thank you again for your continued support.  From my family to yours, I wish you the very best this holiday season.
